The Challenge

Our client intended to analyze its opportunities to participate in Taiwan's FTNS and satellite markets as these markets were liberalized. Specifically to investigate the current market situation, likely market characteristics, potential entrants, and possible strategies of key players.

The Solution

We compiled information from public announcements, interviewed potential entrants and various government officials, made own analysis based on our extensive experience in the industry and in particular, our knowledge of the Taiwan market. We delivered the overall climate for liberalization, opportunity assessment & likely market, potential entrants profiles, strategic analysis, and implications to clients.

The Result

With the analysis of the FTNS and Satellite market opportunities and government liberalization plans, we developed the likely license scenarios and assumptions. We analyzed 7 potential entrants of Last Mile Provider & Network Provider, their alliances, finances, strategies, potential movements with international gateway, value added services, and the silent investors.
